The main issue here is the idea that a superhero is in control. The problem with that is that the idea that a person can have control over something else is only true for the person who is in control. A child playing with a ball in a sandbox doesn’t have control over the sand in the sandbox. The child doesn’t have control over the ball. The child simply has control over the ball. But a superhero doesn’t have control over anything, but his control over other people.
I think the best example of this type of control is Spider Man. The kid in the sandbox, or the kid in the game, or the one in the movie, or the one in the comic book all had control over one thing, but the child who was playing with the ball in the sandbox was in complete control over how the ball was made. The sandbox child did not have control over the ball. But the person who created the ball, and controlled the sand in the sandbox, did.
And that is why Spider Man is such a good example of this type of control. The kid playing in the sandbox is in complete control of the ball. Because the ball is a creation and creation is all controlled by the creator. The kid in the sandbox is in complete control over the ball because the ball is a creation.
