Sometimes we don’t even realize we are being awake until we’re startled to wake up. If you are awake at the time you set your alarm, your alarm will go off at the precise exact second that your body begins to wake up. If your alarm goes off at noon, you will wake up a bit earlier than if it went off at 8:30 a.m.
This is actually kind of cool. If I set my alarm for 830 I will wake up at 830. If I set it for noon, 1230 I will wake up at 1230. If I set it for 830 I will wake up at 830.
We’ve all been there. We wake up late and wonder, “Why am I waking up at noon?” But we are not the only one who has this problem. When you set your alarm, your body begins to wake up, and if you turn your alarm clock back to its correct time, you can wake up a bit earlier than if it had gone off at 830. This is called the “chrono-awakening” effect.
The chrono-awakening effect is actually quite good for getting you out of the house early on a nice Friday afternoon. You wake up at 8:30, and then you have time to grab a quick bite to eat, get the kids to school, and maybe even catch some ZZZz on your phone. Not bad.
A problem. As usual, I try to avoid the chrono-awakening effect when I’m in a hurry. I know it’s not great, but you should definitely check your alarm clock and check your clock.
A common problem with the chrono-awakening effect is that it’s pretty fast. Once you wake up, you’re pretty much a zombie. The same thing goes for most of the other effects that start off the same way. Some effects start off as soon as you do make contact with the character. The next few effects will start off as soon as you’re in the midst of a melee attack.
The main reason for this behavior is that if you’re not in a hurry, then you don’t have time to watch your clock. It’s a dead end. You have to watch your clock, but you can also walk around in the dark. When you’re not in a hurry, that’s just fine, because it’ll get even faster and you can get pretty annoyed.
If you’re not really in a hurry, then you don’t have time to watch your clock. If you make contact with a character, it will start the clock, then you have to wait for it to start up all over again. It’s like a bad alarm clock. It will get louder, but you dont have time to be bothered by it. In this case, you can either find a way to ignore it or you can be annoyed.
