I know sometimes I don’t want to wake up and actually be ready for the day, but I do want to be ready for the alarm to go off at 4 am. The problem with the 4 am alarm is that it is so subtle that you don’t really know it’s going to go off until the minute after you hit the button.
The problem with 4 am alarms is that they are not subtle. I’ve had the same problem at work. I know the clock is starting to chime, I know it’s going to be 2:15, and I know I have to get to the office. But I don’t know that I have to get to the office.
You have to let your brain take over before you get up in the morning. Just because the clock chimes, you know it, and you can still get to work. In the case of the 4 am alarm, you cant. This is why you have to be an expert at getting up in the morning. If you arent, you can still get to work. You just have to be smart about it.
So, how much does your brain actually matter? Well, if you are a newbie and get up at 4:30, you are going to have to rely on your brain to get you to work. If you get up at 4:30, you are going to be on the wrong side of the bed for the next few hours, because your brain is only going to be able to function properly if you get up at 4:30.
If you just want to start your day in the right way, and you are a newbie, all you need is a minimum of two hours of sleep. If you want to be able to function properly, you have to get up at 430. This is pretty simple, but it takes practice to do so.
The good news is that we don’t have to get up at 430. We’re not in a time loop. We’re in our own bodies, which means that we’re not in a time loop and we have no idea how to stop. All we need to do is sleep for two hours, and we’re good to go.
What we’ve already experienced is that people who don’t sleep for two hours have an incredibly limited amount of time to do it. So there is no way to stop them from doing it.
I’ve never been good at getting up at 430. It’s just a general rule of thumb that I live by. And that’s not because I’m lazy. It is just because I am not a morning person. When I was younger, I was up at 5am every day. It was just a part of the routine. I think I slept until noon, then I woke up and did it again. Now that I’m older, I have to get up at 430.
Yeah, I guess I just have to get up at 5am every day. I have to get up at 6am every day. And I have to get up at 7am every day. I have to go to 7pm every day. And I have to get up at 8pm every day. So I have to get up at 9am every day. That’s a lot less than I had in the beginning.
I’d try to sleep until 5am.
