I can’t tell you how many times I have been in a car and driven down the road with only one window open. It’s not exactly like a movie set, but it still happens. The windows keep the outside cool and the air fresh. I guess this makes sense when you think about it, but it still leaves me wondering if there is some magical way to shut the air out.
There might be, but the only way to really shut the air out is to turn off the engine, which can be a huge hassle. Maybe I am just trying to make myself feel better, but I am actually considering this.
There are those that say you should only open the windows when weather conditions are perfect. That’s sort of true if you don’t want to be a jerk to your neighbor, but it can lead to air-conditioning issues. Since cars have a lot of air in them, it’s probably best to open the windows only during really hot or humid weather. In addition, I think cars should be open a lot more during the day than they are at night.

The problem is that I have no idea what fuels my home, and I am not sure how to do anything to that. If I could just get rid of the heat exchangers and see what I can get rid of, I would. They are not the most portable things on Earth, but they have the right insulation and are easy to build.
