I was recently given the opportunity to review the HTC One M8. At the time, this was the only phone that came with a marshmallow version of Android, which is why I was so surprised to see this comparison. If you’ve been following along, you’ll know that HTC uses a proprietary, custom Android skin over the stock Android.
Marshmallow is the new skin for Honeycomb, and its primary purpose is to allow HTC to offer a more “minor” version of Android to their flagship devices. This is great for the company, but it’s also bad for the users as they are forced to accept a skin they don’t really want. The new version of Android on the HTC One M8 is not exactly a minor skin.
Marshmallow is an excellent skin, but its not perfect. The HTC One M8 users are forced to accept the skin they dont really want in order to get the latest version of Android, which is pretty much the same thing as taking out eight Visionaries.

This is a great way to go about this. In this case, though, it’s really not that easy, and we know that’s not the case. I’ve seen some of the more interesting phone designs found in the HTC One M8. It looks like it’s a m8, with a m8-like design, but the m8 looks like a phone.
I know, I know. I have a HTC One M8 too. Its not perfect, but it’s not a terrible phone either. Its still a phone though, and I think its a good phone regardless. The one thing that we have learned from Marshmallow is that we cant do a lot of the things that we thought we could.
Marshmallow is definitely a positive for HTC, but its not so great for anyone else. HTC had a lot of work to do for this version of the HTC One, and it looks like they didnt really get it right. At this point I would expect Marshmallow to be a decent phone, but it’s not going to be amazing.

It has a few major improvements, like faster charging, faster LTE download speeds, and faster Wi-Fi, but it still has a lot of rough edges to it. There is a good chance that Marshmallow will be a better phone than M8 (which it will be competing with), but it will still be a pretty crappy phone.
