Lately, we have been thinking about how to introduce our next play to our new play house, a new neighborhood in our new neighborhood. And while we’re thinking about it, we are also thinking about how much we need a wide-ranging group of new play partners.
As we’ve discussed before, one of the best ways to introduce new play partners is through playwriting. Playwriting is the process of creating a play that someone will want to read and that you will want to write. The idea is that your play should be written in such a way that it is both interesting and entertaining to read, but also fun to write. This is similar to how a musical should fit into your life.
This is the problem with the term “playwriting.” Its meaning is usually limited to the meaning of “writing about a play.” It is not a genre of literature. Most of the time we talk about playwrighting, we’re talking about writing a piece of literature. Even if a certain playwright’s work is not about a play at all, the act of playwriting can be a form of literature in and of itself.
Like most people, I grew up with a very literal view of the term “playwright.” The term was used in the 19th century in a very specific context. It referred to the writers who wrote novels, poems, and plays. It was a very specific way of labeling someone who was writing a novel, or a play, or whatever. No matter how you define the word “playwright,” this is a very specific definition, and the people who use it are usually very specialized.
In the context of literary fiction, a playwright is someone who creates plays. These plays are often very elaborate pieces of entertainment, and they often make use of the very same vocabulary, forms, and devices that are used in literary fiction. I wouldn’t call myself a playwright, but I know that I am a very capable playwright.
