All of my interior lighting is recessed, including the lights on the ceiling, which have a good amount of light even from behind, but the majority of my outdoor lighting is overhead. I’m currently using overhead fluorescent lights throughout my home, but after seeing these two projects, I think they are the best choice.
If you’ve ever lived in an outdated house that needed new outdoor lighting, I doubt you’d be happy with recessed lights, but if you have, I do think they are a great option. Although recessed lights can look a little weird on an oversized wall or some other odd shape, they allow for a greater amount of light that can be controlled with just a switch.
The biggest complaint about recessed lights is they can be very hot and can be very dim, which can be annoying to say the least. They also come in many different colors, and you can put them on or off with just a push of a button. These lights also come with an over-all lifespan, so if you have them on all the time, they can last a long long time.
I have recessed lights on my livingroom wall, and while they are a little hot and dim, I hardly ever turn them on. I also have them on my kitchen wall, and while they are a little dim, I rarely turn them on either. I also put them on both my dining room table and my desk (and I have a few more on the walls, but I have them all turned off and on).
I put the recessed lights on because I liked the dim lighting and the feeling of it being very private. I also feel that this type of lighting might be used to prevent “creepy” or “uncomfortable” situations. The recessed lighting is a little more permanent than the bulbs in the recessed bathroom lights, but I have used them throughout the kitchen.
For me, the recessed lighting is a little more functional because I could control it. It was an easy thing to do, and it took a few minutes to get the hang of it. My biggest complaint though is that it’s not as dramatic as the bathroom lights, which are more of a darker, more industrial look. I wish the recessed lights were a little bit brighter, and not as dark as the bathroom lights.
I think the recessed lighting is beautiful. The quality is very good. It gives a nice, more natural, look to the space. The only thing I wish is that it were brighter.
It’s a lot more obvious, but the recessed lights are a great way to brighten up your new space without it seeming like you’re forcing things to look like they’re meant to be there. It’s a very natural, unforced lighting choice that could be used in any room in your new space.
I think this is a great, simple, and cheap way to brighten up a room without it seeming like youre forcing things to look like theyre meant to be there. It’s an excellent first step to getting a more natural, unforced lighting scheme for your new home.
I think it should work equally well in all rooms of your new home, but I know that having a recessed lighting can be tough in certain rooms, such as the kitchen and living area. They can be tricky to get right both from an aesthetic and usability perspective. I know that I personally have a hard time using recessed lighting in my kitchen/living area, but I don’t think that it should be that hard to fit them in.
