Editorial Policy
The standards behind every TAV Reviews review, guide and article.
These standards govern everything we publish. They are the reason you can trust what you read here.
Four rules
- We don’t fabricate. We never invent statistics, quotes, testimonials, reviews, ratings, user counts, or people — with any tool, AI or otherwise. If a number appears on TAV Reviews, it comes from a real, checkable source.
- We’re honest about how we know. Where a claim can be checked, we check it against primary sources. Where our view rests on documentation and aggregated feedback rather than hands-on use, we say so. We never dress research up as testing that did not happen.
- We’re honest about money. Some links are affiliate links, and we disclose them. A commission never buys a better verdict, a higher score, or a place in a buying guide.
- We correct in the open. When we are wrong, we fix it promptly and note substantive changes.
Named accountability
Every review carries a named reviewer’s byline; we do not use anonymous or “admin” bylines. Our reviewers are named editorial personas presented with monogram avatars, and we are transparent that we do not use stock photos or invent credentials — see our reviewers page.
Independence and AI
No advertiser, affiliate partner, or sponsor influences our coverage or sees it before publication. A human editor is responsible for every review; our full stance on AI is on the AI content policy page. See also our ethics and corrections policies.
