In her wonderful new book “Judy Vary Baker: A Memoir” she writes about her early years in a bakery. We are all guilty of this. My husband and I were both in the bakery business before our last child was born, so my whole life has revolved around that business. The book is a fun read and well worth the read for anyone interested in the food industry.
I’m not sure about you, but I love a good conversation with a great book, even if the topic is baking.
While we love a good conversation with a great book, we are not so sure about a great conversation with a great book. I loved the book, but I didn’t have a good, lively conversation with it. I don’t think we would be quite as comfortable talking about baking with someone who wasn’t a baker.
And since I’m a baker, I think I’m in luck. The author has written a series of recipes specifically for people who bake. The recipes are written as “essays” to help you get the most out of baking and share them with others.
