That’s a good example. A computer can predict what happens, but it can’t predict what you want. And that’s why you need to ask it what its prediction is, because it has the ability to predict its own future, but there may be something about what you want that you dont want to see.
Computer predictions are not actually wrong. As it turns out, computers can predict some pretty darn great things. But as a matter of fact, the only thing computers can predict is that you wont be at the stadium tomorrow. If anything, they can predict other things. They can predict, for instance, that your sister is going to be upset when you don’t come into town on Sunday, but they cannot predict that you will be upset if you dont.
That last one is a pretty big one. Computer predictions can’t predict anything except that you wont be at the stadium tomorrow. Because that’s what you would do.
