TAV Reviews (tavereviews.com) is committed to making our content accessible to as many people as possible, including readers who use assistive technologies. Accessibility is an ongoing effort, and we work to improve the experience over time.
Our goal
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA as a target standard. While we cannot guarantee that every page fully conforms at all times, we treat these guidelines as the benchmark for our design and development decisions.
Accessibility features
Steps we take to support an accessible experience include:
- Semantic HTML so that headings, lists, and landmarks are meaningful to screen readers.
- Keyboard navigation so the site can be used without a mouse.
- Sufficient colour contrast between text and background for readability.
- A dark mode option to reduce eye strain and suit different viewing conditions.
- Descriptive alt text for meaningful images so their content is conveyed to assistive technologies.
- Responsive layouts that adapt to different screen sizes and support zoom and text resizing.
Ongoing effort
Accessibility is not a one-time task. As we publish new articles and update the site, we review our work against our accessibility goals and address issues as we find them. Some older content or third-party embeds may not yet meet every criterion, and we appreciate your patience as we improve.
