The other day, I was on a date with a friend, who was a huge fan of the show, Game of Thrones. One of his favorite moments of the series was when Ned Stark was captured and brought to King Joffrey’s court. He was so upset, he demanded Ned be executed. The king did what he could, but Ned kept fighting and eventually, he was killed. This is the moment where Ned Stark’s loyalty to his king was tested.
The scene in question is the scene where Ned Stark is being held prisoner in King Joffrey’s dungeons. Ned gets up to fight Prince Beric Dondarrion, but is thrown into a pit by Beric who then tells Ned he has to give up his crown and marry someone else. Ned fights back, and even though he loses, he is still willing to fight.

I’m sure some will be more than a little bit upset that the show has taken a few of the most popular characters, including Ned, and put them into a story just about Beric Dondarrion, but they deserve it.

I think the fact that we’re talking about the main character, Ned Starks, is a little embarrassing. Ned did not have a great fight with Beric Dondarrion, but he did throw him into a pit. This is completely in line with the idea of Ned’s being a threat to Beric Dondarrion’s kingdom.
