This self-awareness is the first step toward being able to face challenges and improve our lives. The first step to that, is self-awareness.
That’s right; being alive.
The fact is that if you aren’t able to think about things like these, then you don’t have any self-awareness. You’re literally just on autopilot. We all have the tendency to think that we’re not aware that we’re on autopilot, but that’s just not true. We all do it to varying degrees. Some people think they’ve been on autopilot since their childhood, but that’s just not true.
For example, I have a friend who has been on autopilot since his early teens. He got into something he didn’t quite understand and was locked in a loop of sorts, where he just sat around all day and wrote. He never thought about his life at all. Then he decided he wanted to be a writer, and he started writing. Now he is a published author.
It is possible to have autopilot, but if you are in a constant loop of sorts for a long period of time (years, even), it can be hard to see what is happening in your life. As a result, you can become completely unaware that you are in a loop. A person who has been on autopilot for a year or two is probably better off just doing a little more analysis every now and then.
Well, the first time I had that happen, I was in a car accident. It wasn’t until years later that I realized how autopilot I was. It is hard to have a true awareness of your life when you are not in a life time loop, and vice versa. In the past year, I’ve had a few things happen that should have been avoided, but I wasn’t paying attention.
What Ive done is analyze what I have done and what I am doing. When I was a kid I was in a car accident that was survivable. I could take things and make myself better. But as adults, Ive had a few bad things happen to me and Ive been making myself better.
Ive been in a few bad car accidents, and Ive had a few bad times, but autopilot has been my biggest enemy. Ive been on autopilot for the past year, so Ive made myself better.
I think Ive learned a lot from those car accidents. Ive been hurt, but Ive learned the hard way that it is all about the little things. This is especially true when it comes to things that could have been avoided, but my autopilot took control.
Ive been on autopilot for a while now, but Ive been getting better. Ive been driving better too. I know when Ive been on autopilot and Ive started to worry and worry and worry about things that I shouldnt worry about. I think that Ive been working on being a better person, and I hope that Ive been saving my money and my energy to do this.
