This is a great way to use up storage space on your kitchen or bathroom countertop. The reason for this option is simple. When I’m doing a kitchen clean-out, most of my kitchen storage space is just under the counter, as is the case with most of my countertops. So, I have this great space to work with.
My house can be a lot smaller than my kitchen, but that’s okay.
So far, I have only seen this option on our kitchen countertops. But, I was able to use it on our bathroom countertop, too. I think it’s really cool that Im not just using up some countertop space, but also some countertop storage space.
I think it’s safe to say that the majority of our kitchen counters are white, but our bathroom countertops are a bit different. Most bathroom cabinets are white, but we have a lot of dark countertops. So, I wanted to see if it was possible to use these countertops to create storage for both our kitchen and bathroom. I guess I’m going to have to try it out.
We use countertop storage on both our kitchen and bathroom countertops. The bathroom has a deep recess in the bottom for storing my toilet-bowls, and I have a shallow recess in the middle for storing the countertop. The sink is also deep in the middle to store the countertop, and the faucet is actually on the bottom shelf of the sink. Of course, we still have a few little details that we can’t just leave in the kitchen.
The problem with having these deep recesses in your countertops is that when you are using them, they are more susceptible to dirt and grime than are a normal countertop. This is especially true when trying to clean them. You can wash the countertop as much as you like, but the grime is going to be coming out of them.
To fix this, White Wall Shelves is using black plastic that comes in a bag to permanently seal the countertop. The bag and a little bit of foam are put on the countertop and the bag fits over the counter and seals to the floor. The little bit of foam is then put on the floor to keep the grime out and make it easier to clean.
While the white wall shelves definitely look a lot cleaner, they can still look pretty gross if there are any leftover particles of white paint. This is because white paint is highly reflective in the UV spectrum. So when you clean them, the white paint is all that’s leaving behind the particles of white paint.
It’s kind of like removing the grime from the window. It’s still going to be visible, but it can be easier to clean with a light cleaner.
