In the past, we’ve all done it. We’ve all done it because we’ve been a little paranoid about how our tax returns are going to look. When the IRS audits your return, they’ll look at your tax year, and depending on how the audit is going, they might look at your tax return as if you were withholding money from the income tax.

We had a tax audit for $200,000 in 2010, and we ended up paying $80,000. We were audited again in 2012, and we ended up paying $170,000! But we did not get audited for the last two years, so we know that we weren’t withholding money from the income tax! We had to do something.

If you think you have to do something, then you probably should be doing something. The IRS is one of the most notorious tax-evasion companies. They have been auditing people for years and years. They will find a way to get their little hands on the money you would have left for the government. If you wait to do something in tax time, or even if you’re doing nothing, you are contributing to your own tax evasion.

The fact that we have been forced to pay the income tax in the first place is a pretty shocking thing, so we thought we had to do something about it. We have been told that the IRS has a list of people they want to target for audits. We thought we would try to target people on the list for a while, but as in most things we are still waiting for the IRS to act.

On the other hand, we are not required to file a tax-check, and we can spend some time learning about the tax laws themselves. We could also make a list of who we want to target, but we can’t do that for now. We have to ask each of us to do a little bit of tax-editing.

Tax-editing is a process of writing down the exact tax amount of something, and then filing electronically. It’s similar to the IRS’ computerized record of your own tax payments, except it’s a lot more convenient for people like us.

We have to start from scratch. We must have a little bit of time before we actually start. We can’t just leave everything as is.
