And then I realized, this is a very relevant question. I think people have a tendency to think of themselves as being in a constant state of awareness, but often the truth isn’t that simple. The main character in Deathloop is the “hero” who gets to decide what happens next, but he isn’t really aware of that. He is instead just going through the motions of things happening to him. Because he is a time-looper like Colt, he is always aware that he is in a time loop.

This is a good story about something that happens in your life everyday. The main character has a problem with his own mind that causes him to be unaware of his own actions, and is constantly in a time loop. The main character is doing things he has no control over, and the solution to his problem is to kill his own family. The solution to his problem is to not think about what he is doing, it just happens.
