A couple weeks ago, I was given an opportunity to attend my very first “Fashion Show” at the world renowned American Ethos Fashion Institute in New York City. I was not only blessed with the opportunity to visit New York, but also a very special invitation. The event was an opportunity to meet, photograph, and meet some of the most influential, beautiful, and talented people in fashion.

Mark Elderkin is one of them. Not only did I meet him at the show, I also learned a lot about him. Mark is the founder of the Fashion Institute and one of the country’s leading fashion photographers. He also happens to be a brilliant and creative entrepreneur. For instance, he was the first photographer to be licensed to shoot at the Met where he has shot for every fashion show since 1981.

Mark is currently in New York City and working on a new book, which I believe is called The Fashion Institute of New York. This book will be a collection of his fashion photographs from all the fashion shows he has photographed over the years. It will also include interviews with some of the most influential, beautiful and talented people in fashion.

Mark has also become a very successful photographer as well, and has shot over 1000 fashion covers for Vogue, Elle, and Vanity Fair. He was also part of the editorial team that shot all of the covers for Vogue’s Fall/Winter 2010 issue.

Mark is not only one of the best fashion photographers in the business, but also one of the most influential fashion photographers in the world. This is just great. He’s one of a few people who truly deserve the title of the best fashion photographer in the world.

Well, it’s nice to see him in a little more “vigorous” role with the new Vogue cover. But it’s also great to hear that he’s actually in the business of shooting fashion. But is it his job or is it his art? Is it his passion or is it his skill? I’m not sure, but I do know that he’s extremely talented in both.
