My diagnosis with Chronic Lyme’s Disease (CTD) came on a Sunday morning. I woke up and my thoughts were focused on the fact that I had a headache and had a fever. Everything was going fine until the next morning I woke up with a headache that lasted all day. I was then tested for CTD and the results came back with positive for Lyme’s. I had been very anxious with the diagnosis and was scared to death that I may not survive.
Thankfully, the diagnosis of CTD was not something major. It was not something that caused me to have to be put on steroids or to try a variety of other treatments. Instead, it was a result of a problem I had with nerve fibers. This is a condition that can cause symptoms such as numbness, tingling, and numbness in different parts of the body.
I am so glad that my doctor, Dr. Lomas, is still around. He was the first one I found to have the diagnosis and he helped me so much. He is a very good doctor and I recommend him to anyone who has a similar problem. The surgery was not something major and I wasn’t on steroids, but I did have a very long recovery time.
