The BC freightways are a great way to get an easy, affordable route to the city or country. In my neck of the woods, the highway system is well-known for being a great way to get around the East Coast. I live in the central part of BC and you can just start driving south from Vancouver and head west until you hit the highway system.

The BC freightways are actually two separate highways. The main highway is for passenger vehicles (in BC; in the US, it’s the 401), and the other is for freight. There are a few places you can drive on the freightway and still take the passenger highway, but the main highway is the best place to go for most drivers.
