When I was growing up I didn’t have a lot of friends. I was always at the other end of the spectrum of my peers. I couldn’t count on the same people, and I couldn’t count on the same activities. A lot of my friends were into sports, and a lot of my friends were into music. I used to go in different directions. I was always trying to figure out what I wanted to do.
If I had to guess, I’d say that I wanted to be a DJ. I was a DJ, but a lot of my friends had never played a DJ before. They’d made a very good music player when I was a kid, and I didn’t want to be a DJ any more. I don’t know what music I should do, but I want to be a DJ.
Sounds like you might be a DJ. But your friends, being DJs, must have played those songs a long time ago, and theyve either forgotten about it, or you really are the real DJ. I suppose that you could try and re-create your old music, but I’m not sure how much you’d be able to learn from that.
Yeah, I wish I could play the old music that my friends played over 20 years ago. But the only tunes I know are the ones they play to me while I play them. So I guess youre right, I do have to play the music that is on your playlist.
I love music more than anything. I listen to it all the time, whether it be my own band or a band I know in the music industry. Sometimes I play my favorite songs and I know the song titles by heart. I even know the names of the artists, although I find that there are some artists I just can’t recall.
I play the music I like. I play the music I like over and over. The songs that matter to me are the songs that have meaning and are significant for me. I know all the names and details, but I do that for myself. I don’t listen to songs as an act of worship.
I love the idea of an artist, band, or song being a part of the self that I’ve created. It’s not just about the music, but it’s about how I’m able to connect with that music. I want to be able to connect with other people and share my excitement or frustrations about whatever it is I’m listening to and the memories that go along with it.
If your goal was to write a book, then you would have to write a lot of songs. The reason you can do that in death-looping, but you might not even be able to do it in life, is because it takes you so long to write and so you cant write one song at a time, and you cant do it if you have to.
The point is that you can connect with other people and share your excitement or frustration about what Im listening to and the memories that go along with it. If you don’t have to write a book, you can write a song. If your goal was to write a book, then you would have to write a lot of songs.
